is frequently invited to lecture on the topic of business and climate change to
policymakers, business and academic audiences. He has recently delivered

His recent book, co-edited with Peter Newell, of
David has conducted
extensive research on corporate strategic responses to climate change in the
David is also interested in the political economy of globalization and the struggles to make corporate governance more responsive and accountable to civil society. A paper on the politics of global production networks is forthcoming in the Academy of Management Review (2008), and he recently presented a paper on the Global Reporting Initiative. David has also recently co-authored a chapter with Rami Kaplan of Tel Aviv University on the politics of Corporate Social Responsibility in an international context (see CV ).
David is currently working on a
book on ‘the strategic face of power’. The book examines how relatively weak
groups can outmaneuver their more entrenched adversaries who have greater
access to the traditional resources of power, such as money and formal
authority. The book develops themes from his AMR 2008 paper and from a paper
co-authored with
