"Un chanteur pas ordinaire," Eric VINCENT returns to North America for a concert tour in October-November 2006.

A dynamic musician, he has performed in Paris and throughout France with many outstanding musicians, but his special passion is taking his music to every corner of the globe. He has so far performed in 130 countries! Although his background is in classical music, Eric VINCENT's songs contain elements of folk music and rock as well as rhythms reflecting his travels in Africa and the Caribbean. His songs also have a quality which is hard to define but which identifies him as a singer in the best tradition of la chanson française. His concerts have delighted audiences of all ages, appealing to native speakers of French, to those with no French at all, and to everyone in between. He has often been invited repeatedly to schools and colleges where his songs capture the attention of young people for their universal themes and appealing music. The substance and poetry of his lyrics have led to them being included in major language textbooks widely used in the US and Canada.

"Eric Vincent's return to New York a success. His music is universal" (New York Times)

"Compositor francès ultrapassa fronteiras da linguagem" (Diarro da Manha - BRAZIL)

"Music for a world without borders" (Singapor Times )

"Eric Vincent : Canciòn sin barreras" (Cultura - Mexico City)

"French singer Eric Vincent overcomes the language barrier" (Bangkok Post )

In addition to his busy concert schedule, Eric has become involved in a major international project,Opération Boule de Neige ('Operation Snowball'), initiated by young school children in the small French town of Bonchamp to oppose violence in children's programming on television. At their request, Eric VINCENT wrote the music for their song text, "Jamais plus de violence," and directed its production and recording. It has gotten airplay and good press in France and, with the support of schools and many governmental and professional agencies, was enthusiastically adapted into many other languages by children around the world.

After his participation in the L'Air du temps festival in the fall of 1997, Eric VINCENT also gave a concert and participated in a workshop on the teaching of French language and culture through song given by festival director, Brian THOMPSON, at the national convention of the American Association of Teachers of French in Nashville a week later. His latest CD includes the adaptation of eight James Taylor songs in French, and will be featured during his 2004 concert tour in the States in February-March 2004.
