Eric Vincent, French singer, songwriter and guitarist is returning to North America for a six-week tour during February-March 2004. He will be in the New England area the second and third week of March, corresponding to La Semaine de la francophonie. . This dynamic musician has performed in Paris and throughout France with other outstanding musicians. But he has a special passion for taking his music to every corner of the globe. He has performed in 130 countries! Although his background is in classical music, Eric Vincent's music encompasses many styles. His songs contain elements of jazz, folk, rock and rhythms reflecting his travels in Africa and the Carribean. His songs also have a quality which is hard to define but which identifies him as a singer in the best tradition of the chanson française. His concerts have delighted audiences of all ages, appealing to a range from native speakers of French to those who speak no French at all. He is often invited to return to universities and high schools where his songs capture the attention of students for their universal themes and for the appealing music.

In addition to his busy concert schedule, Eric also became involved in a world-wide project, (Europe, Argentina, Taiwan, French Polynesia, Vietnam... ), Opération Boule de neige, started by school children in the small French town of Bonchamp to oppose violence in children's programming on television. He wrote the music for the song Jamais plus de violence and directed its recording.

Eric has adapted eight songs of the premiere American singer-songwriter James Taylor, which will be included in his repertoire for this tour. His CD including these songs, Faut-il encore 2000 ans?, came out in a special edition for his previous US tour and has been receiving considerable air play in France.
