Class Project: Taxonomy WebQuest

 

You have 35 minutes to research and create a Taxonomy Tree with the 7 main classification layers and photos. (Use the bear tree as model.) 

 

Use the Inspiration SW program to “draw” your tree.

 

Check out this Web site for classification details and pictures to place in the tree.

  1. Choose an animal that you know something about. Find a picture of the animal and all of its classification names.

 

  1. Place the correct classification names for your animal in each layer of your tree.

 

  1. Place the animal picture under each of its classification names in your tree.

 

  1. Build your tree from the bottom up by adding one additional animal picture for each of the 6 classification layers above species and place the new picture in each category above. Make sure the new picture is of an animal that is in a “different” category than the pictures in the classification row below.
