CREATING A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

 

1.                  Insert diskette in A: or connect a flash drive in a USB port.

2.                  Start Powerpoint by clicking on icon or selecting from “Start” “Programs” menu.

3.                  Click on “Blank Page” icon to open a new presentation.

4.                  First create a title page.  Click on “Insert” and select “New Slide” to open layout window.  Select “Title Page” or “Title Only”.

5.                  Provide a title and any other information needed for the title slide.

6.                  Add new slides by clicking on “Insert” and “New Slide”.

7.                  Add color by right clicking the mouse to bring up a menu and select format.  Choose color, size, or other options for background or for an object.

8.                  Create a bullet page by selecting layout for bullet pages.

9.                  Create a chart page by using the insert tab to insert a chart in a page with just a title.

10.              Insert clipart or pictures by using insert tab.

11.              Be sure to save your file on A: or on your flash drive with a meaningful name.
