Weekly assignments and the final exam are done on paper with the brailler. It is suggested that students obtain a brailler from a local resource, school, library, agency or individual.

Note: The brailler must be capable of handling 11 1/2" by 11" braille paper (wide paper). Perkins New Generation, Smart Brailler and Jumbo Brailler cannot be used.

Technology

Computer Keyboard

In addition to a Perkins brailler you will need a keyboard that is compatible with “six key entry” for simulating the brailler on the computer.  This web page explains about six key entry and how to check your keyboard.
