Meeting 25:
Here we implement cos(2πft) where f is the frequency of the sinusoid (note that in
CW 10, by using cos(t) the frequency was 1/(2π)), so the time series as
generated by the For Loop need to be multiplied by 2πf
before the function of cos is evaluated with the Eval-Single-Var. Array.
Notice that in class we used the
Waveform graphs instead of the XY graphs as in this illustration, here we just
need to bundle the X and Y series for the graphs.
Logbook
Just to remind that the logbook is a very important
component of the course and will be evaluated, together with the final exam they
count 20% of the course grade.
You should record the logbook on a daily basis, with pages
numbered and dated, about two main topics:
-Discussions
and findings about projects, collectively or individually
-Answers
to questions posted here in the class notes and other learning conclusions you
found by doing activities related to this course.
The next logbook due date is Engin 103 Final Exam in May
2006.
Logbook questions:
1-
what is the period of a sinusoid or a periodic
signal? How to get the period from the frequency?
2-
Why did we use two Eval.-Single-Var. Array
and not three (there are three graphs)? How did you get the third signal?
3-
By just looking at the combined signal, can you determine
how many sinusoids it is composed of? Explain how.
