Participating in Experiments
We
invite you to participate in one of our economic decision making
experiments. If you are interested, fill in the form on the
right. You will begin receiving notifications with details about
upcoming opportunities to participate.
All participants are paid. Payments vary from experiment to
experiment, but typically average around $25 to $30, with a guaranteed
minimum amount of $7 to $10. A typical experiment lasts 20 to 60 minutes. Earnings
are determined by what you and others do over the course of the
experiment, so not all participants can expect to earn the same
amount.
The only eligibility requirement for participating in Economics
Department experimental research is that you are currently a registered
student at UMass-Boston and that you are at least 18 years old. Both
undergraduate and graduates students are eligible to
participate. Unless otherwise noted in the announcement for specific
studies, you are eligible to participate as many times over the course
of your time at UMB as you
would like.
All experimental sessions are conducted in the Green Lab
on the Upper Level of the Healey Library. All
sessions occur during the day, typically between 10am
and 4pm. You can choose the day and time you wish to
participate when you sign up.
If you have further questions about participating, send your questions to econ |dot| experiments |at| umb |dot| edu.
