Case Studies are an effective means to bring the outside world into your on-line class. You may invite guest speaker to appear in your class by videotaping and producing a streaming video for your class to view. Your class can prepare questions to ask their guest prior to the videotaping. This is a great example again of opening your on-line class to the outside world. A “Live” Web-cast offers a synchronous environment to teach on-line over the Internet. Using a moderator, in a chat, the instructor and guest may converse with on-line students. In addition, the event may be streamed and archived for later viewing. Click here to see an example.
