This is a loom used to weave fabric. The
threads of the vertical warp have weights attached at the bottom to keep
them steady. The rod in the middle keep the even and odd-numbered
vertical threads separate so that the weft (resting on the cross rod) can
easily pull the horizontal threads through the vertical warp.
